Bored and Brilliant Challenge #7: The Bored and Brilliant Challenge

For the first step, I put down that I often struggle with confidence with talking to new people. I wasn’t expecting watching a kettle boil or writing “1,0” on a piece of paper to help me come up with a solution, but it actually worked! I wrote down 4 or 5 ways I could try to improve my confidence afterwards. I also liked how much more clear my head felt afterwards as well. On my note to myself, I put down that I need to use my Pomodoro timer app more often and to get out of my own head and be in the moment more. I am naturally a very self-conscious person, so a lot of my confidence issues stem from getting fixated on my perceived flaws. I have found that getting out of my own head has been one of the most helpful ways to improve my confidence in social situations.
