It actually was easier than I thought to keep my phone put away. I had dinner with my friends at a restaurant and I think it helped me be in the moment with them better. I wasn’t able to do it for as long as I wanted to, because I needed my phone to contact my friends while we were out together. I did my best to keep it put away while we were together, as well as when I was unloading my car that night. I would have had an easier time if I had not had many things to do that day that I needed my phone for. I would love to do this more regularly. I don’t know how feasible it would be for me, but I would like to try it because I think it helps me focus better. I might try fasting from my phone on a certain day/time, like Sunday afternoons. I believe Sunday should be a day of rest and not being on my phone would help me have a more restful day.
