Bored and Brilliant Challenge #2: Keep your Phone Out Of Reach while In Motion

I found this challenge a little bit harder than the 1st one. I cheated a little bit by listening to podcasts on my phone while I was in my car on the 1st day. However, I did not touch my phone while the car was moving and left my phone in the car when I went into stores. I didn’t really notice that many new things as I was driving around town, honestly. I did notice some landscaping on a street that was new, I saw some signs that I don’t think I noticed before, I drove past some houses that I don’t think I’ve seen before, and I saw some birds in a parking lot. I think the main thing I noticed was that I was more aware of nature than I would have been if I’d been looking at my phone.

I found this activity more challenging than the last one, honestly. It was very difficult to not reach for my phone unless I was sitting down. I tried to only listen to a CD I had in my car instead of music or a podcast on my phone. Did the challenge convince you to do anything differently? I don’t know if I would have done anything differently. I typically don’t look at my phone while I’m driving, so that part was easy for me. I did struggle a little bit to stay focused while I was driving, since I usually listen to music or a podcast while I’m behind the wheel. I did like being more aware of nature. I did not try to go to the gym without my phone, which would be even harder for me than driving.
